A leading Civil Engineering contractor operating largely in the field of Highways Maintenance has a current requirement for a Procurement Manager to play a key role in the procurement function across their northern region. This post will be largely focussed on developing long term relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors that will offer scope to make significant cost savings across both highways agency MAC frameworks and Local Authority partnerships.
The ideal candidate for the role will have a background within Civil Engineering and will have ideally had exposure to the Highways Maintenance market either as main or subcontractor. They will be able to demonstrate first rate negotiation and communication skills and will have a track record of making significant cost savings across contracts. Experience of procurement of subcontractors as well as materials will be required.
