| Personal Injury Executive Location: Bristol Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits A top South West practice is looking to take on a Litigation Executive/Solicitor within their Personal Injury team. Your role will be to litigate a significant proportion of personal injury cases in order to obtain appropriate compensation for clients. This practice is looking for someone who is driven to achieve significant results and to contribute to the efficiency and success of the team and department. Responsibilities: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of law and procedure in order to competently manage and litigate a caseload of high value and catastrophic injury cases of all types where complex and technical actions may be involved To be comfortable and confident in handling litigation and multi-track cases and litigation of all types in both the County and High Court, with trial experience of complex cases Willingness and ability to deputise for team leader with all aspects of job when required Litigating and handling a complex caseload of high value and catastrophic matters from inception to conclusion Be confident in undertaking Court hearings and to be competent in core legal skills including drafting, negotiation and advocacy Demonstrate excellent knowledge of tactics and strategy and familiarity with alternative dispute resolution To be comfortable with all pre-trial hearings and advocacy experience across a broad range of matters with select input from Counsel where appropriate Exposure to non RTA matters and ability to confidently undertake such work Able to provide mentoring and guidance to more team members at the highest level Understanding of working in a target driven environment with the ability to spot trends Demonstrates leadership qualities and actively seeks responsibility Skills: You will have an in depth knowledge of different types of personal injury claims including EL/PL and fatal accidents so as to be self-sufficient in case handling A high level of competency in core legal skills especially advocacy, drafting Court and complicated documents and negotiation at all stages of litigation Confidence and experience in a breadth of quantum values and ability to actively case plan, manage and assess larger loss cases Thorough grasp of and familiarity with the CPR and litigation process Preferably has demonstrated success in achieving a recognised professional level of recognition such as solicitor, FILEX or similar |
