| Financial Planning Assistant Manager Location: Oxford (Or South of, within commutable distance of London) Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Our client is the Financial Planning arm of one of the top Accountancy practices in the UK, and to work as part of the team providing assistance to the Financial Planners that exceeds client expectations and supports the team. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists the National FP Manager in providing a service to support the FP practice across the firm, with a strong focus on risk management within the context of the commercial and financial objectives of the practice Demonstrates awareness of the value of risk management in the context of the financial goals of the firm Provides a level of service that meets or exceeds expectations of internal clients Undertakes technical research and due diligence into best advice panel products and products submitted for off-panel approval Carries out due diligence and technical research into operational processes for the financial planning practice Processes Terms of Business agreements from product providers, liaising with National Compliance and the Legal Department and with product providers Maintains a database of discounts and commissions negotiated with product providers by the National FP Manager and by advisers Drafts reports and internal communications in accordance with the firm`s procedures Responds to technical queries from advisers and their teams Develops personal and technical skills appropriate to the role Delegates work appropriately Actively shares knowledge and information with colleagues where applicable Understands link between personal and team responsibilities Develops a network of contacts elsewhere in the firm Researches and updates the best advice panels and other products Develops processes and procedures across the FP Practice to support the ongoing implementation and future development of Adviser Office and other software tools Administers systems that manage relevant knowledge throughout the FP practice, such as the Terms of Business database and the FP Flash database Plans and prioritises to meet timescale and budget objectives, properly documents tasks and procedures Skills and Qualifications: AFPC/Diploma in Financial Planning, including G20 or G70 or J06, or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, including AF4 and AF5 or equivalents Previous research and report writing experience with respect to investment products Previous experience of working for a professional practice in tax or financial planning |
