| Family Solicitor Location: Exeter Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits A top Legal practice is looking to take on a Matrimonial Solicitor within the Family Team. This practice is looking for someone who is driven to achieve significant results and to contribute to the efficiency and success of the team and department. Responsibilities Assisting the partner in dealing with all aspects of matrimonial law, such as injunctions, divorce, and children matters, including childcare and financial settlement matters Involves regular client contact with both Private clients and Legal Service Commission funded clients as well as regular court appearances Typically, this role will involve acting for the Local Authority or Guardian but occasionally will involve parent instructions The role will include both case preparation and advocacy (included contested hearings) before Family Proceedings and County Courts Skills The successful candidate will be a fully experienced 5-10 year PQE Solicitor Advocacy skills would be an advantage You must be able to assess and prioritise workloads to a high standard and possess good interviewing and telephone techniques Other areas of expertise should include research skills and case law analysis Experience of marketing is advantageous, as is membership of Resolution and the Family Law Panel |
